Mitsubishi Motors North America Inc. is relocating its headquarters from Cypress, in Orange County, to Franklin, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville. There are nearly 200 people working in Mitsubishi’s Cypress office.
The relocation is being done to “take advantage of the area’s vibrant technology skillset, all while realizing cost savings through the business-friendly work environment and proximity to sister company, Nissan. All departments will move, including sales, marketing, IT, human resources, communications, parts and service, product planning, dealer operations, finance and legal.”
The carmaker has been based in Orange County since 1988. Other auto companies that left California over time include Nissan North America Inc., and Toyota, which relocated to Plano, Texas. Full story here: https://www.ocbj.com/news/2019/jun/25/mitsubishi-moving-tenn/
